Safely Dispose of Your Unused Medications

Disposing of medicine safely helps prevent crime, drug abuse or accidental poisoning. Medicine flushed down the drain or disposed of in the trash harms the environment. Safely dispose of unwanted, expired and unused household medicines for free at one of Ramsey or Hennepin County's public drop boxes:
IDs are not required, and you can bring the medicines in their original containers. The box is self-serve. Pull the handle to open it, and then drop the medicines into the box. Drop the whole container - package and pills - into the box.
