Fire Department

Our Services

The Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency response at the EMT level and hazardous materials response at the Operations level. The Department also provides fire code inspections\enforcement, fire prevention and education, and administers the City's disaster response programs and the City Code Enforcement program. In addition to our day to day responses we are also one of six member cities that make up the North Suburban Hazardous Materials Response Team. That team is made up of firefighters trained to the hazmat technician level and respond to hazardous materials incidents in the six participating cities or when requested by another entity for mutual aid.
